At the Stampin' Up! Regional Seminar in Columbia, SC, someone shared with SU a card with a sleigh on it made from theTop Note die. I never saw the artist's name to give her credit. But I could tell she had used the Top Note die to make the sleigh and when I got home, I made one myself. I think it turned out cute.
The card is Old Olive and the sleigh is Real Red. I layered Crumb Cake on the Olive card. The "gifts" are cut from Jolly Holiday designer series paper. I cut the runners from Brushed Silver CS, using the Swirls Scribbles Die and the Big Shot machine. I had a little Holly punch so I punched some holly leaves to go on the side of the sleigh. I didn't have any Tinsel Trim SU makes, so used a glittery pipe cleaner I had on hand to edge the sleigh and make it "pop".
Merry Christmas stamped on the card is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. I want to put some bows on my packages and just haven't gotten to it yet.
Thanks for visiting my blog today!! Leave a note; I love hearing from you!! Smiles, Laura

ReplyDeleteI just wanted to let you know that I loved this card and did it (with a few minor tweaks) with my stamp club last month. They loved it! One of the gals brought her mom as a guest and when we made this card she said "It was worth coming tonight just to make this card!" Just wanted you to know and wanted to say Thank you for the inspiration and GREAT idea. I appreciate you sharing her on your blog!
