I felt so badly that in my "business" I failed to send Valentines to my two precious grandchildren!! How could I have done that?? Actually, I make occasion cards so early, designing for class, that it seems like the holiday is over and then suddenly it IS the holiday and it occurs to me I haven't mailed the cards I made. I should have sent theirs late, but oh, well......
We spend time with them last weekend and totally enjoyed them both. We never have enough time with them to suit me! Jessica has recently turned 12 so we celebrated her birthday. When I asked her what kind of cake she wanted for her birthday, she said she "actually doesn't like cake" and would rather have a pie. She LOVED the pecan pie I made.
Dillon is hold up one candle, in a musical candle holder playing Happy Birthday To You because of course you cannot get a candle to stand up in a pie! Here's a shot of Jessica:
She's holding up the card I made her--and of course she like how it interlocked to close and open. They are beautiful children (inside and out). I'll share that one another day.
So to the rest of my subject line today. I stamped with my friend Judy yesterday and made this Easter card to send to Dillon. And I WILL get this one in the mail early!!
The card itself is Baja Breeze and I layered it with Sahara Sand.
This little bunny is made using the wide, large and small oval punches. His eyes are punched suing the Owl Builder punch and the muzzle is made using the 1/2" circle punch. I think he's a cutie and perhaps a bit childish for Dillon, but I think he'll like the card anyway. I haven't completed the inside yet, but will probably stamp Easter Blessings inside.
Thanks for stopping in today!!
Smiles, Laura
