Woven Ribbon....

I saw something in a stamping magazine the other day that inspired this card.  The person had woven either ribbon or designer paper (I can't remember which) and covered the front of a card.  I decided to give it a try.

This card is white, layered with Basic Black cardstock that I wrapped the Stampin' Up! 1-1/4" black and white striped grosgrain ribbon around.  I used 3 pieces horizontally and 4 pieces vertically and wove them together.  I then glued them around the black cardstock and added a red satin ribbon.
For my sentiment, I used a stamp from the Perfect Punches set.  I stamped it in Black and Red (twice) and then punched the various circles out and the scalloped circle out and glued 3 layers--red, then black, then red.  I like this touch on the card!
I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving.  I have shared all my fall/grateful cards, so you get a Christmas card on Thanksgiving.  Such is life.  We are spending Thanksgiving with my dad, so I'll get back to you on Monday!
Thanks for visitng!

Bold Blossoms....

Here is a card I made recently using the Bold Blossoms and Perfect Punches stamp sets.  I tried another way to make flowers using the Blossom Bouquet Triple Punch, too, on this one.

This card is Tempting Turquoise with a Daffodil Delight striped designer paper from the Patterns Designer Paper Stack in Brights.  I used Real Red on this card, too.
Here is a close-up of the sentiment on the card.  I stamped it with Tempting Turquoise and colored in "Friend" with Real Red.
It's hard to see it, but I have Red and Yellow ribbons sticking out from under the flower panel.  I wish I had done them all in Real Red, but oh, well.....  They show up good in real life.

Thanks for stopping by today!!  See you again soon.

Triple Layer Punch

We are going to have so much fun with the new Triple Layer Punch that is available in the Summer mini!!  Look at these neat flowers!!

This card is made from Pear Pizzazz cardstock layered with white.  I stamps the stem from the Bold Blossom stamp set using Pear Pizzazz ink.  I punched flowers from So Saffron, Peach Parfait and Poppy Parade using the Triple Layer Punch.
Here is another shot of the sentiment label.  I sued the Curly Label and Decorative Label punches for this.  The sentiment was stamped using the Perfect Punches stamp set.
 Those flowers are so cherry!!
I tied Poppy Parade ribbon around the card.  I'll share more samples using this punch in the coming days!
