Another Tri-Steps Card

On March 8, I shared with you a Tri-Steps card and it was a hit.  Today I wanted to share another card using this same fold.  This one uses Marina Mist as the card base and I used White, Daffodil Delight and Mambo Melon with it.  It was afraid it was a bit gaudy, but several girls who saw it said it was one of their favorites!  So, I'm showing you today.

For the center of the card, I cut a 3" square and punched each side using my Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch.  I made more of these punched "ribbons" in the Melon and glued those behind my Daffodil ones.

Here is a close-up of the sentiment.  It's a Scallop Oval mounted onto a 1-3/8" circle, and layered with a large oval.  Those little flowers on it and on each corner are made with one of the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack punches.
Here is a close-up of the middle of the front.  That's the teacup from Tiny Teacup.  I cut the "Hello" from under it so I can use both stamps independent of each other.  How do you like the tiny pearl "jewels" on the teacup?  The teacup stamp is dotted so I thought the pearls would be a nice touch.
Now for the inside of the card.  Again, I punched a 3" square using the Ribbon Border punch.  I used designer paper from  the Brights and Subtles Patterns DSP Stacks.
In this shot, yoou can see the stairsteps.
I am not goinng to take space to show the instructions for this card again.  You can find them on my March 8 entry.  Good luck making your own!!

Thanks for stopping in today!!  Smiles, Laura

New In Colors...

I know alot of you are waiting to see the new Stampin' Up! In Colors this year. Well, this card was made using the incolors Pear Pizzazz and Peach Parfait. They just sound delicious!! The designer paper on this one is the Patterns DSP Stack in 2011 In Colors. I showed you this layout in my August 2 post, but this time I've added the border trim on both sides. I love the SU Eyelet Border! This ribbon on this one is the new SU 1/2" stitched poly ribbon in Pear. It ties so pretty. The oval was cut using the Big Shot and the Ovals die.
Here is a closeup of how I cut the tea kettle out and popped it up with dimensionals. And again I colored with the aqua painter and SU inks. I prefer that to using markers for color.
I hope you like this one! Smiles, Laura

Am I on a roll?

OK, I'm probably boring you with this color combination this week. I think I've used it three day--Wild Wasabi and Baja Breeze. And I've used the Morning Cup set before, too. But I do love the designer paper and made up a set of cards using it. So I'll share these last two today. This card uses a Martha Steward punch along the side. I love this one!! And it also has the same vertical strips I used on another card. I hope this shows you several ways to use this stamp set.
This card uses the Just Believe stampset from the new 2010-2011 Stampin' Up! catalog. This is going to be a set I use ALOT. I punched the corners of this one using a Martha Stewart corner punch.
Come back and see me soon---I have more to share. Smiles, Laura

More of Morning Cup...

I have two more samples made using the stamp set Morning Cup that I wanted to share today. I used the same colors as on the card shown Monday--Wild Wasabi and Baja Breeze with some Early Espresso for accent. I think this is a pretty neat layout, too. (Designer paper purchased locally.) This card uses the coffee pot and mug in the stamp set. Neat, huh? For this card, I used the tea kettle and the coffee cup for the image. Nothing special about this layout, but I do like the colors.
Hummmm, this make me want to go make a pot of tea. See you later..... Smiles, Laura

Tea-rific!!!

Hi! Today I wanted to share a card I made using the new Morning Coffee stamp set. This is a fun set that can be used for coffee and tea drinkers for any occasion. The cardstock used is Wild Wasabi and Baja Breeze. This is a pretty versatile layout; one we'll be using at one of my August classes. The designer paper was purchased locally. I also used my Curly Label punch to make a label to put "tea-rific" on.
I love this little stack of cups. I colored them with my aqua painter and Stampin' Up! inks.
Thanks for stopping in today---I have more to share tomorrow. Smiles, Laura
