Happy Greetings Sneak Peek

Here is another card with a sneak peek from the Summer Mini.  This one uses a sentiment from the Happy Greetings stamp set.  I like this one and will use it ALOT, I know.  I also used the Friends Never Fade stamp set from the big Idea Book and Catalog.

Since the flower stamp is one you'd want in multiple colors, I used markers in Real Red, Pear Pizzazz, and Chocolate Chip to color in the flower. These colors go with the Greenhouse Gala designer series paper (dsp) I used for both the background and the opening.  The card itself is Real Red, layered with Pear Pizzazz.  I layers one side of DSP over the Pear.  For the cut-out part, I punched out a half circle on each side with the big 2-1/2" Circle Punch.

I think this one would be suitable for any occasion!

Another sample using Riot of Petals

Here is another card I made with a background just like the one I showed you yesterday, but rather than putting the "banner ribbon" across the top of this one, I used the current stampset, Friends Never Fade. I colored the flower on this stamp with the same colors--Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, and Certainly Celery markers. I sponged the edged with the Bashful Blue. And to this one I added Birthday Wishes from the level 3 Hostess set, Occasional Quotes. That set has tons of neat words and sayings in it. I tied the smaller image on using the new 1/8" ribbon in Daffodil Delight. I think the white edging on the ribbon goes so well with the background. I think this one turned out neat, too.

Sunny days....

Isn't this sample below sunny? It's perfect for a hot summer day like today.   This is a "sneak peak" for you of a set from the new SU catalog from which we can begin ordering on July 1.  I can't wait!! So many new sets, new paper colors, new designer paper, etc.  But I digress.  This card is made using the Friends Never Fade stamp set and the new DSP, Greenhouse Gala.  I used the new In Color Pear Pizazz for the basic card and the new core color Daffodil Delight for the background.

The stamp with the quote on it stamps the background with ink and leaves the flower and words plain, or in this case white.  So I colored the flower with my Daffodil and Pumpkin markers.  I like the look.
